Frisbee in Asheville
Today was a perfect day to play Frisbee. The temp hovered around 54 degrees, there was no wind, and the flat light of a totally overcast sky made visibility ideal. My friend Bryan and I drove to Asheville, and went to the city stadium, where an NFL quality artificial turf awaited out every throw. We played for and hour and a half, with some of my throws going over 60 yards. I guess we bounced the Frisbee off our fingers a few too many times, and it ultimately disintegrated. It was time for a new one anyway. The view of the skyline from the stadium is wonderful, even on a dreary day. Afterward we drove to the historic Grove Park Inn, and then had lunch at Barley’s Brewery, before we found some eclectic galleries uptown. All and all, a great day.
