Alpenglow at Sunrise


In the mountains, just before sunrise, a rose colored glow bathes the ridges with the softest of tones. The Europeans called this “Alpenglow” because the soaring granite peaks of the Alps were always the first to see the rising sun. In North Carolina, we don’t have the lofty peaks, but we still have the striking effect.
