An Early Morning Walk around Otter Pond
Exploring the banks of Otter Pond before sunrise always reveals many beautiful surprises. The cattails are in full seed. The reeds around the shoreline (below), frame the calm water.
Some of the critters are up early for breakfast.
Looking across the pond toward Fibber Magee Drive was a peaceful experience.
This Passion Flower was open for business with no takers….
This little wildflower was a real showstopper…
The reeds around the shallows created unusual patterns in their reflections.
The first fallen leaf of the approaching autumn was bright against the gravel.
I’ve never seen this purple wildflower before, but that’s half the fun of these walks. There’s always something new to discover!
Beautiful, Beautiful!! Thanks for stopping and smelling the flowers (as they say) for the rest of us. The colors are magnificent-loved the visual contrast of the reeds, water & green of the trees!
