Much Too Warm for December

Deck Sunrise
Where is the cold weather? A low of 39 this morning greeted this sunrise, but normally, temperatures in the low 20’s are common this time of year.

Deck Snow 2
This was the scene two years ago yesterday from the same view. Global warming is happening much faster than most experts had thought. The last real snowfall here in the valley was January 10, 2011, almost two years ago. Just last week I saw cherry trees blooming near here, and that’s almost four months too soon. This weather has nature confused. The last frost here was before Thanksgiving. Not good!

Sunrise at Otter Pond was uneventful this morning, but it was the first morning without total cloud cover in almost two weeks.

Very Best
Two years ago, the house was dressed for the holidays, but this year it just doesn’t seem appropriate.

  1. Totally agree on loss of winter. Have no fear, there will be snow during the week of January 21st. I have to be in Miami that week for eye doctor. I know it will snow while I am gone

  2. Hey Vann, it’s to early for snow. We usually have the worst weather in January and February. Wait the cold will be here. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and many blessings for the new year,
    Much love, Linda

  3. Hi would you mind stating which blog platform you’re using? I’m going to start my own blog in the near future but
I’m having a tough time making a decision between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design and style seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique.
P.S My apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask!

  4. Write more, thats all I have to say. Literally, it seems as
though you relied on the video to make your point. You definitely know what youre talking about, why waste your intelligence on
just posting videos to your blog when you could be giving us something informative to read?
