From Linville River to Linn Cove on the Parkway

Linville River Vista
The day was cloudy, but the colors were vibrant all along the Blue Ridge Parkway between the Linville River bridge and the Linn Cove Viaduct. The scene above was just north of the river looking to the west.

Linn Cove Rocks
The main viaduct bridge was built without disturbing the natural features of Grandfather Mountain. Climbing up to a large rock over the roadway, below, Linn Cove Viaduct is a treasure in yellow and orange.

Below is a one minute video showing autumn traffic on the viaduct bridge.

  1. Love, love the pictures. This year seems to be better than before, the orange and yellow is everywhere. So enjoy seeing one of favorite places so colorful. Wish I was like Hunter and Buddy, tagging along enjoying your weather and beautiful views. Thanks for sharing
