Wild Turkey Family in Otter Creek Valley

During a recent walk, I happened upon a large family of Wild Turkey just down the road from my house. The smaller birds are the hatchlings from this year’s clutch. Just after I made this short video, the turkeys were spooked by one of the dogs walking with me, and they all lifted off and flew away over the trees. The sound made by their large wings as they rose, and the clucking of the birds, was something that everyone should experience once in their lives.

  1. I enjoyed your wild turkey video…..I think I told you of the flocks of W T I have coming through my yard in fall and winter.  Last year one even came up and pecked on my porch door……..also they chased away a pair of Sandhill Cranes from the bird feeder.  They are much larger than I realized!
