Winter Storm Approaches
As the season’s first snow is forecast for Friday and Saturday here in Otter Creek, it seemed appropriate to share some scenes from yesterday’s walk.

Otter Creek has returned to pre-drought levels, and the threat of fire is minimized by almost ten inches of rain over the past month.

Yep, down here non the coast they have been spraying the roads with salt in preparation. Of course here the only people that go out to drive and “see” the snow are the ones who don’t know how to drive in it. Stay warm up there and enjoy it.
The roads in wake and Granville Counties are salted — and quite tasty. I expect we’ll see the rain before the snow, and that might wash away the salt brine. Keep safe.
